LCMA 2023 HAP Award Winner!

The Lucas County Medical Alliance’s The Love We Share (TLWS) event is honored to be the
recipient of the 2023 HAP (Health Awareness Promotion) Award from the AMA Alliance. The foundation of the LCMA is truly based upon The Love We Share. The love of supporting our local community, our health care providers, and each other.

This event was created to bring people together for camaraderie and raise funds for the local
charities we love. This event promotes the betterment of public health by raising funds for
charities that strive to improve the health and wellness of our community, which is in direct
correlation to the AMAA’s mission. TLWS is unique as it is not affiliated with just one
healthcare system. It gives the medical community an opportunity to interact among
differing practices and healthcare systems to work for the common good of the community
they serve.

The evening was filled with live entertainment, speakers from selected local charities, raffle
prizes and a campaign to collect donations. In its inaugural year with a minimal budget,
TLWS raised an Alliance event record of over $14,000 for Connecting Kids to Meals, Mobile
Meals, Ronald McDonald House, Rose Hajjar Hope Fund, the University of Toledo College of
Medicine Scholarship and SAVE a Shelter. The success of the 2023 TLWS event was measured
in the $14,000 raised for local charities along with fellowship and love felt by attendees. LCMA
is proud to report that the 2024 TLWS raised approximately $27,000 for local charities that
we love so dearly.
