ABOUT US
Who We Are
The Lucas County Medical Alliance (LCMA) is a local chapter of a nationwide AMA Alliance and a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. LCMA, with over 80 members, is open to all physicians and physician spouses. We provide support, friendship and camaraderie within the medical community and fundraise for our local community.
What We Do
We serve as community advocates to promote health education and raise funds for local health programs and scholarships. We have disbursed over $130,000 to many local charitable organizations in the last 10 years, including: Aurora House, Bethany House, Community Cares Clinics Shelter, Connecting Kids to Meals, Mom's House, Mobile Meals, Peace Project, Read for Literacy, UT Medical School Scholarship
In addition to fundraising, LCMA members organize item drives and donations for local organizations, prepare meals for the Ronald McDonald House and prepare snack bags and meals for Connecting Kids to Meals.
We build our community through fun events throughout the year, such as trunk shows, tennis and pickleball socials, member and guest luncheons, holiday parties and more!
We also have many special interest groups that allow members to get together in smaller group environments and socialize:
Book Club, Children's Play Group, Community Service, Museum Group, Supper Club, Tennis Club, Wellness Group & Wine Tasting
