Spring Guest Luncheon “Packed” a lot of Punch!
The Alliance Annual Spring Guest Luncheon was held on Friday, April
29th at Packer Creek Pottery, in Genoa Ohio. This venue is the workshop
and gallery of Jan Pugh, whose unique, hand-crafted Majolica pottery is wellknown
and popular in our area. Sixty- five members and guests packed the
storefront to socialize and shop, in order to support and raise money for Mobile
Meals of Toledo. Ten percent (10 %) of all
sales at Packer Creek Pottery, as well as raffle
proceeds from the day will be donated to
Mobile Meals.
Luncheon was served in a tent, adjoining
the building, and the atmosphere was festive
and fun. There was a guest DJ, who
entertained the crowd, creatively gave away
door prizes, got lots of laughs, played music,
and pulled the winning tickets in an eight
item raffle. Guests also joined in celebrating the Alliance’s 70th anniversary.
Business meetings were held, and the Board of Officers for 2011-12 was inducted.
Patty Kamiemski, OSMA Alliance State President, joined us for the
morning and conducted a thoughtful and sincere installation ceremony.
A good time was had by all who were able to attend, and the event was
a big success, raising over $1,200.00 dollars for a worthy cause.
